The surrealistic horses symbolize human manipulation through selective breeding. Characteristics that have allowed
the species to survive for millions of years are traded for a look that may be popular for a short time.
Genetic manipulation contributes to painful conditions, especially where animals are bred to produce larger amounts of meat or greater quantities of wool or fur.

I have from an early age abjured the use of meat,
and the time will come when men such as I
will look upon the murder of animals
as they now look on the murder of men.
-Leonardo da Vinci, 1452-1519
